Digitization first, concerns second? No! Prevention is better than cure.
Cornelia Semadeni. Doctors for the protection of the environment.
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G……..with each new mobile radio standard the use increases. Mobile radiation is largely unavoidable. Digitization first, concerns second ? No ! Prevention is better than cure.
2G, 3G, 4G, 5G… with each new standard of mobile telephony, its use increases. Mobile radiation is largely unavoidable. Mobile phone providers travel across the country and promote 5G. Switzerland would miss the mark if the limit values are not raised.
Representatives from industry, technology, environmental sciences, etc. say there is no danger – are they our new health experts? The population remains concerned. And so do we, the doctors for the protection of the environment!
All of us, young and old, even babies, use a technique considered potentially carcinogenic – today, even the International Agency for Cancer’s Advisory Board urgently requires a reassessment based on the important results of new animal and cellular studies.
And here in Switzerland? Here we are talking about increasing the limit values, instead of talking about precaution. More powerful antennas or many more antennas across the country? High-powered antennas to power buildings from the outside to the 5G washing machine in the basement, instead of using fiber optics to access the buildings. Already now, cigarette use data is being sent by mobile phone to Philip Morris. Where is the common sense? With such data, today we generate more turnover than with crude oil, which is why there is a gold rush atmosphere in this sector!
Mobile video streaming has become the new hype. Watch videos under the duvet once the lights have gone out. Netflix with the Smartphone on the couch;
Video streaming is responsible for 70% of the mobile data volume. And lower the level of protection for that?
We doctors are worried and powerless when patients decide to sleep in the basement because of radiation, or even to sell their polluted homes. Why not a fixed line to the rooms and the last distance by cable or radio, self-determined, with minimal radiation, and without overloading the neighbour? Where is the technical innovation?
We, the environmental protection doctors, are concerned. Not only because of the sea of radiation, but also because of the health of our children.
Children surf the Internet for up to 4 hours a day, instead of playing with real people and learning social skills. Online time – their lack of development. Attention deficit disorders and depression have increased massively among young people and children over the past 10 years – since the Smartphone first appeared. The risks of dependence, obesity, myopia, postural problems and sleep disorders have also increased. Instead of thinking, we use the smartphone in the trouser pocket.
A strong society needs strong children who are socially competent and able to think for themselves. Children are our future.
We, the environmental protection doctors, are concerned. Not only because of the sea of radiation, the health of children, but also because of the rapid increase in the consumption of electricity and resources.
The Internet receives an additional boost with 5G. The same applies to electricity consumption. Today at 8 percent, forecasted in 10 years to be 20-50 percent. Millions of new smartphones, billions of devices for the Internet of Things, vast quantities of non-renewable raw materials, the overexploitation of people and the environment.
Digitisation first, then concern?
We, the doctors of environmental protection, demand:
– Health risks, energy and resource consumption on the agenda of the digital agenda.
– No reduction in the level of protection for residents near the antennas
– No increase in limit values either directly or indirectly
– A moratorium on millimetre waves until health risks are clarified
– Reduction of radiation exposure of all devices, networks and installations used in mobile communications in accordance with the precautionary principle.
– Inform the population about health risks
– Ongoing independent research
